Not no one! Just not many do. I don't really think of my given name as my name, just something my parents gave me, because I've been going by Nim since I was a kid. Most people believe it's short for something Finnish and I let them.

it's not, no. fantasies are fantasies regardless of where they originate. that does sound like you may be less opposed to the use of your given name than you thought, however.
